The directory lists every active license AHCA's locator shows for assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies, hospices, adult day care centers and adult family care homes in Sarasota and Manatee counties, 332 in all, with CMS Care Compare ratings for nursing homes and Florida OIR's list of life plan communities.

Where does the directory's data come from?

Only from official bulk data: AHCA's FloridaHealthFinder locator and public facility profiles (retrieved October 31, 2026), AHCA's posted inspection histories, CMS's Provider Information dataset (data as of October 1, 2026) and OIR's October 2025 CCRC map; we do not use aggregator listings, operator marketing or reviews.

Facility pages exist for the 79 ALFs licensed for 40 or more residents and all 41 nursing homes; smaller ALFs and the other license types appear as roster rows.

How do I use the listing pages?

Each listing page has a search box and filters for county, city and license type (and CMS rating for nursing homes), and every column can be sorted by clicking its heading, so you can, for example, list every LNS-licensed ALF in Venice by beds.

How current are the inspection dates?

AHCA inspects ALFs for relicensure about every two years and investigates complaints in between; among the 78 ALFs in the two counties licensed for 40 or more residents with a posted standard survey, the median latest standard survey is 13 months old and cited 2 deficiencies.

A clean complaint visit means an allegation was not substantiated; a standard survey with no citations is the stronger signal.
